Daphne Robinson Language Awards

The 2022/23 application form will be uploaded at the end of September.

The Daphne Robinson Fund was established to support undergraduates who are not studying Modern Languages, but would like to learn another language. Priority will be given to students whose language classes are related to their academic studies. Please note that these awards cannot be used for Fast Track courses.

Enrolled undergraduates who are not studying Modern Languages can apply for this funding. Students who are on suspension and visiting students are not eligible. Awards of up to £300 are available.

Applications are accepted throughout the year. Please complete the online application form. Students should note that their Personal Tutor will be asked to approve their application. 

Language Centre Fee Reimbursements

The 2022/23 reimbursement form will be uploaded at the end of September.

Somerville can provide students with a 50% fee reimbursement for Fast Track courses at the Language Centre. These courses are built to fit around students’ work with only two one-hour classes per week. The Language Centre is handily located on Woodstock Road just opposite the Porters’ Lodge.

Enrolled students can apply for this funding. Students who are on suspension, visiting students and associate students are not eligible.

Applications are accepted throughout the year. Please complete the reimbursement form and email it to the Scholarships and Funding Officer.
