Olive Sayce Language Awards (graduates)

OLIVE SAYCE APPLICATION

Funding is available to support graduates, including BMBCH students, who would like to learn another language. Please note that this funding is only available for General and Academic courses at the Oxford University Language Centre. It cannot be used for Fast Track courses. Please do not apply for this award if you will be funded through the Priority Funding Scheme at the Language Centre as your department or faculty will pay the fee.

Enrolled graduates can apply for this funding. Students who are on suspension, visiting students and associate students are not eligible. Finalists should note that the language classes must take place before their course completion date. Up to £375 is currently available over the length of the course.

Applications are accepted throughout the year. You should also enrol on the course(s) with the Language Centre.

Daphne Robinson Language Awards (undergraduates)

DAPHNE ROBINSON APPLICATION

Funding is available to support undergraduates who are not studying Modern Languages, but would like to learn another language. Please note that this funding is only available for General and Academic courses at the Oxford University Language Centre. It cannot be used for Fast Track courses. Please do not apply for this award if you will be funded through the Priority Funding Scheme at the Language Centre as Somerville will pay the fee. Please ensure that you include the Scholarships and Funding Officer, Victoria Wilson, as the financial signatory in your application for priority funding.

Enrolled undergraduates who are not studying Modern Languages can apply for this funding. Students who are on suspension and visiting students are not eligible. Finalists should note that the language classes must take place before their course completion date. Priority will be given to students whose language classes are related to their academic studies. Up to £375 is currently available over the length of the course.

Applications are accepted throughout the year. Students should note that their Personal Tutor will be asked to approve their application. You should also enrol  the course(s) with the Language Centre.

Fast Track Language Awards

FAST TRACK APPLICATION

Funding is available to support students who would like to learn another language through the Fast Track Pathway at the Language Centre. Please note that it is not possible to receive this funding if you have been awarded an Olive Sayce or Daphne Robinson Language Award in the same academic year. 

Enrolled students can apply for this funding. Students who are on suspension, visiting students and associate students are not eligible. Awards of up to 50% of the fee are available.

Applications are accepted throughout the year. You should also enrol on the course with the Language Centre.
