We award a number of subject-specific prizes to undergraduates for working to the highest standard in earlier parts of their course before their final exams.
Alyson Bailes Prize
This prize is awarded annually to a second year History undergraduate for excellent performance in their first year exams.
Cerrie Hughes Prize
This prize is awarded annually to a second year English Language and Literature undergraduate for excellent performance in their first year exams.
Margaret Kohl Prize
This prize is awarded annually to a second year Modern Languages undergraduate for excellent performance in their first year exams.
Sarah Smithson Prize
This prize is awarded annually to a fourth year Modern Languages undergraduate for the best essay written during their year abroad.
Somerville College Lawyers Group Prize
This prize is awarded annually to a third year Law undergraduate for excellent performance in second year Collections.
