Food & Facilities
Heavily-subsidised meals are served in Hall (three meals per day on weekdays, and brunch and dinner at weekends). The Hall pantry service offers a wide range of hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks available at subsidised rates.
Three meals in a day are unlikely to cost more than £13. While you can pay for meals in cash, you can also use a pre-paid card – linked to a College food account – to buy meals at a discount of 7.5% on cash prices. Particular dietary needs can often be accommodated on request.
Meal times during term-time are as follows:
Breakfast: Monday to Friday, 08.00 – 09.00
Brunch: Saturday & Sunday, 11.00 – 13.00
Lunch: Monday to Friday, 12.30 – 13.30
Dinner: Seven days a week, 18.00-19.00
Guest nights (formal meals which begin at 19:30) are held throughout the term on some Tuesday & Friday evenings. Those not attending Guest night can take dinner 17.30 – 18.15. When this does not take place, dinner will be available at the usual time.
Meal times outside term-time
Breakfast and dinner are not usually available during Vacations, although lunch is usually served Monday to Friday. Details of timings and how to sign up for lunch will be available prior to each Vacation.
The College cannot take responsibility for food choices made by students or guests suffering from severe allergies or who have restricted dietary needs if the Catering staff are not informed in advance.
