Make a gift

There are a variety of ways to make a gift to Somerville.

You might like to set up a monthly Direct Debit, make a one-off gift online, send a gift by post, or donate shares or assets. If you are interested in leaving a legacy, please see the tab Legacies and Planned Giving.

  • Donation of shares/assets

We are hugely grateful for your support.

If you would like to make a gift from the USA, please visit the University of Oxford’s North American Office webpage for more details.

To make a tax efficient gift from Canada please visit the University of Oxford’s donation page. You will be able to select the fund, and find further details about making the gift tax efficient.

To make a regular gift from abroad, please also visit the University of Oxford’s donation page. You will be able to select the fund, and select the ‘recurring gift option’.

Matched Gifts

Please click here to see a list of those companies that we understand currently match gifts donated by their employees – however, this list is not definitive.

If your employer is not listed, please contact your Human Resources department to find out if they operate a matching gift scheme. In most cases, the company will match your donation pound for pound up to a specific level; a handful of organisations even double-match. Please contact your Human Resources department to make a matching gift. They should be able to give you a form to fill in confirming the gift you have made, which you then send to us to confirm receipt of the gift. Thank you!

Further information on how to give to the University from outside the UK can be found on the University of Oxford Alumni website.

You may also like to contact the Development Office directly.
