On Sunday 22nd March, Somerville College held a memorial celebrating the life and work of our Fellow Emerita Barbara Harvey.

Barbara Harvey, CBE, FBA, Fellow and Tutor in Medieval History, 1955-1993, sadly died on 8th August 2025, at the age of 97. On Sunday, members of the Somerville community, including Barbara’s former colleagues and students, gathered together in Chapel to remember her.
