We’re positively blown away by your generosity: thanks to some brilliant donated lots and some furious bidding, our second online auction has raised £55,866 to support Somerville and its work.

Following the success of our first online auction in 2021, we again broke out the gavel to offer a selection of amazing experiences such as luxury holidays to Verbier, exclusive sessions with our Fellows, and afternoon tea with Susie Dent. With the aid of our hosts, Somerville’s Principal Jan Royall and the broadcaster and journliast Natasha Kaplinsky, not to mention the expertise of Christie’s auctioneer Becca Anthony, the evening was a roaring success. The funds raised will support crucial areas of need, including covering the funding gap in providing teaching, supporting our academics, and expanding our ambitious efforts to raise aspirations and ensure that Somerville is truly a place that includes the excluded.
