Penrose Society Concert & Lunch 2025
Event Start Date: 24 May 2025. Join us for the concert from 12:00 – 16:00 followed by tea.
Members of the Penrose Society are warmly invited to our annual Penrose Society event in College.
The event will include a guest lecture on Mary Somerville, a musical performance on our two Steinway model-B pianos, and a tour of the College gardens with our Head Gardener.
The Programme is as follows:
12:00 – 12:45 Drinks reception in Mary Somerville Room
12:45 – 14:15 Lunch and talk in Hall
14:15 – 15:15 Garden Tour with the College’s Head Gardener, Alastair Mallick
15:15 – 16:00 Concert in the Chapel
16:00 – 17:00 Refreshments in Mary Somerville Room

The Penrose Society was established in 2015 to thank those who have so kindly included Somerville in their wills. The annual Penrose Society event takes place on the fourth Saturday in May and is open to all of our legators and to their guests. For your diaries, please note 23 May 2026 for next year.
