As well as being an influential and much loved Principal of Somerville, Dame Janet was also an esteemed scientist and national figure. Following the publication of a biography in 2024, Bloomsbury, Belsen, Oxford: Janet Vaughan – Medical Pioneer, we are delighted to welcome the author, Sheena Evans. She will speak alongside writer, actress and alumna, Alison Skilbeck, who will perform a monologue as Dame Janet. The event will begin at 3pm in Flora Anderson Hall, and will be followed by afternoon tea.
