On Sunday 20 July, Jackie Watson invites Somervillians and their guests to join her for afternoon tea at Jesmond Dene House in Newcastle.
We will meet at 2pm in the John Dobson Room so that you can meet other alumni from the North East informally. The room has its own private shaded terrace overlooking the Dene if, as we hope, it is a lovely day! To whet your appetite, the menu is here.
Jackie is keen to meet alumni from the North East and to set up more regular events in the area. If you are not able to join us on 20 July, but would be interested in finding out more about future plans, or joining an informal group to share invitations to cultural events and so on, do email her on jacqueline.watson@some.ox.ac.uk.
As it is a while since College last visited the area, tickets will be free. As numbers are limited, however, we ask that you only bring one guest with you, so that we can accommodate as many Somervillians as possible!
