Felix Pflücke
Felix researches and teaches in the field of European Union Law, with a particular interest in EU Consumer Law, Comparative Law, and Empirical Legal Research.
In addition to teaching EU Law at Somerville, he also teaches at St Peter’s College and holds a lectureship in EU Law at the Queen’s College, Oxford.
He convenes the EU Law as well as the Empirical Legal Studies Discussion Group.
Previously, he was a Research Assistant of Dr Geneviève Hellering and Professor Horst Eidenmüller, an Associate Editor at the Oxford Business Law Blog, and a visiting researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law. Felix read law at undergraduate level at the Universities of Maastricht and Glasgow, and at graduate level at Brasenose College, Oxford.
His doctoral research, supervised by Professor Stephen Weatherill and Dr Dorota Leczykiewicz, is on the regulation of online platforms, in particular on standard contract terms, ADR/ODR, and compliance. His research combines a comparative and empirical approach, aiming to understand how online platforms function and how consumer redress can be improved.
