Dame Lucy Neville-Rolfe, the former executive director of Tesco’s corporate and legal affairs department will be picking up her second honour in just over a year after she was made a Dame in the Queen’s birthday honours list – will also become a Conservative peer.

Prior to joining the retailer in 1997, Dame Lucy was a senior civil servant, spending time in a number of roles including at the Number 10 Policy Unit and the Cabinet Office.
