Book Launch: The Deep – the Hidden Wonders of our Oceans and How We Can Protect Them, with Alex Rogers
Dr Alex Rogers, senior research fellow, BBC Blue Planet II consultant and one of the world’s leading marine biologists, invites us to explore the world beneath the waves.
His new book, The Deep: The Hidden Wonders of Our Oceans and How We Can Protect Them, investigates the very real damage we as humans have inflicted on the ocean’s ecosystems, but also offers a hopeful vision of the future, and highlights the amazing work being done to tackle these issues, and reverse their effects.
At this special launch event, Alex will be discussing his research expeditions that feature in the book and his hopes for the future of our oceans. Attendees are welcome to stay for refreshments and a book signing following the event.
Monday 6 May, at 5:30pm in the Brittain-Williams Room.
