Somerville has won the men’s Cricket Cuppers!

Somerville batted first in the final, which was held in the University Parks, but posted only 123 from the 20 overs allotted, leaving them a lot of work to do in order to remain in the running.

But despite an early surge of runs from Brasenose, a combination of crucial wickets taken and some economical figures meant Somerville won the final by just three runs.

The victory caps an enormously successful sporting year for Somerville, with the Women’s Netball also taking Cuppers’ victory and the men’s rugby winning promotion from the second division.
