Stephanie Lucas, a teacher at Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic School Sixth Form Centre in Port Talbot, Wales, has won a University of Oxford Inspirational Teacher’s award following a nomination from a first-year student at Somerville.

Stephanie Lucas was one of 10 teachers recently announced as a winner of the award for teachers in 2013.

Two of the remaining nine teachers were from schools in Kingston-Upon-Thames and Hounslow, which along with Buckinghamshire make up Somerville College’s outreach link regions: Victoria Mandizha of Brentford School for Girls in Brentford and Andrea Lucas of The Holy Cross School in New Malden.

Information relating to the Inspirational Teachers Award can be found on the University website.
