Margaret Casely-Hayford (1980, Jurisprudence) has been named Black British Business Person of the Year.

Casely-Hayford ended a tenure of several years as legal counsel at John Lewis Partnership earlier this year, when she took up a new role as Chair of ActionAid UK, a global non-profit organisation at work in 45 countries.

Casely-Hayford was one of the first black British women to become a partner in a City law firm.
