Janet Soskice will become the third Somervillian in eight days to feature on Melvyn Bragg’s popular Radio 4 programme ‘In Our Time’.

Soskice, Professor of Philosophical Theology at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Jesus College, will be on a three-person panel discussing the Christian doctrine of the Trinity.

The nature of the Trinity was one of the great debates of the early church, as theologians sought to explain how God could be both three and one at the same time – and whether the different parties could act independently of one another.

Soskice and her two co-panellists, Martin Palmer and the Revd Graham Ward, will have just 43 minutes to explore the subject.

More details about the programme can be found on the BBC website.
