Year reunions at Somerville are great events, and it was good to see so many 1966 alumnae back in College this September marking 60 years since your matriculation. It was a real pleasure to spend time with such a lively and interesting cohort. Clearly it’s a year of which Somerville can be very proud!
One 1966 alumna suggested, as we celebrate that 60 year anniversary, that a good opportunity to mark this milestone would be a lasting Class of 1966 Reunion Gift. Thanks to the generosity of two 1966 alumnae almost £30,000 has already been given. If the rest of the year group can raise a further £30,000 that will create a £60,000 Class Gift to celebrate those 60 years.
You can, together, make a lasting difference.
The Ratan Tata Building Giving Day
The new Ratan Tata Building, now under construction, is a once-in-a-generation investment in Somerville, providing outstanding new spaces for teaching, learning and collaboration. Your gift will enable 1966 to be recognised on a permanent basis with the naming of a room in the new building.
Gifts will also provide challenge funding for Somerville’s first Giving Day, encouraging others to participate and helping to unlock further support.
Every gift, large or small, will help towards your £60,000 Reunion Gift, will provide a lasting celebration of the Class of 1966, and is much appreciated.
