Professor Lahiri is a truly pioneering figure across multiple specialisms, including phonology, phonetics, historical and comparative linguistics, psycholinguistics and neurolinguistics. She is the Director of the University’s pioneering Language and Brain Lab, a founder of the University’s Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics and the first Indian woman to hold a professorial Chair at Oxford. We are truly proud of her many accomplishments and look forward to celebrating these with her many Oxford colleagues and friends this June.
