Decolonising EU Law – Towards a Wiser and Wider European Union

 Professor Iyiola Solanke

Flora Anderson Hall, Somerville College

Friday 29 November 2024

17:00 – 18:30

Abstract:

A decolonial approach offers an exciting opportunity to highlight and disrupt euro-centrism in EU law in the past, present, and future. As well as excavating the life and legacy of coloniality, a decolonial approach to research and teaching in EU law contributes principles and practices to create the foundation for a wider and wiser EU. The lecture will be followed by a drinks reception.
