The event featured insights from Rt Hon Lady Arden of Heswall, Lord Willets, Cindy Gallop, Sacha Romanovitch, Anya Hindmarch CBE and our Principal Jan and took place at Somerville on May 17th. It marked both the 40th anniversary of Margaret Thatcher’s election as the first female Prime Minister of the UK and the 100th anniversary of the Sex Disqualification (removals) Act, the passage of which allowed women to enter the professions.
