Event Start Date: 30 October 2022 17:30 - 19:00

Location: Somerville College Chapel

Somerville College is delighted to host the Ramsden Lecture 2022 featuring the newly appointed Bishop of Willesden Lusa Nsenga-Ngoy.

Bishop Lusa was previously the Black and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Mission and Ministry Enabler in the Diocese of Leicester 2017-2021. A passionate advocate for inclusivity in the church, Bishop Lusa’s selection was partly decided by students at Twyford CofE School, who judged sermons from shortlisted candidates.

In his sermon, Bishop Lusa will speak on the theme of ‘Singing the Lord’s Song in a Strange Land’. His prayer for the academic institution will be for St John’s College, Durham University and the evening will feature readings and music from the Somerville College Choir.
