Event Start Date: 15 September 2024 10:00 - 16:00

On Sunday 15th September, in support of Oxford Open Doors, we invite you to visit Somerville College and to explore the many connections made by Somervillians since the college’s foundation in 1879. Come and find out what connects a female travel scholar, Edward Lear and pioneers of plastic surgery, mustard with Dante’s Divine Comedy and early photography with Ulaanbaatar! We invite you to celebrate with us the many wonderful ways in which Somervillians, past and present, have contributed to the world. The college grounds will be open, with a self-guided tour, children’s trail and exhibition, for visitors to explore at their leisure.

There is no need to book. Last entry to the College will be at 3.30pm. More information about Oxford Open Doors is available here
