My research lies at the cross section of MRI physics, biophysical modelling and liver physiology. During my DPhil at OCMR I have examined the effects of liver fat (in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease) and liver glycogen (in healthy volunteers) on multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging methods.

Having transitioned to a postdoc position in the same lab, I am now continuing to work on characterising the effects of daily physiological changes in the liver on quantitative MR images with plans to develop new, more precise imaging methods that can reduce the need of liver biopsies for the diagnosis of liver scarring and inflammation.
