My research examines how religious themes functioned in Owenite philosophy and activity, and thereby influenced early cooperativism and socialism. I also engage in wider debates on the relationship between socialism and religion. At Somerville, I teach the ‘Introduction to the Theory of Politics’ and the ‘203 Theory of Politics’ papers.
