Eloise Peniston

Hi, my name is Eloise and I am the JCR Arts and Culture Officer.

Alongside my JCR role, I am also the co-founder and co-president of Somerville English Society. Through my experience as a first-generation, Northern, state school student, I am entirely dedicated to challenging the elitism and tangible barriers that face students from working class backgrounds as they apply for English degrees at the university. My goals are to join students from all disciplines through their shared literary interests and to create a welcoming, vibrant, and artistic community in Somerville College.
