Family Day Sessions – Booking Details
There will be “meet the tutor” sessions and chocolate-making sessions at our Family Day. The chocolate-making sessions will last for 20 minutes each and will take place every half hour starting at 2.15pm. The tutor sessions will each take place twice and will last for 30 minutes. The Philosophy sessions will take place at 2.30pm and 3pm; all other tutor session will be at 3pm and 4pm. Unless otherwise stated below, the tutor sessions are suitable for children over the age of 11.

English – The Anglo-Saxons and Their Riddles

Medicine – MRI in a Heartbeat: Imaging Carbs in Hearts

Modern Languages – Harry Potter and the Professional Translator’s Total Nightmare
With Dr Simon Kemp (Associate Professor of French; Fellow and Tutor in French)
Mathematics – Counting Hands
With Professor Dan Ciubotaru (Diana Brown Fellow and Tutor in Pure Maths; Professor of Mathematics)
Philosophy – Justice Heroes: An Introduction to Political Philosophy for Children
With Dr Ana Laura Edelhoff (Mary Somerville Junior Research Fellow)
This session is suitable for those aged 8 to 12.
