Somerville’s Access & Inreach role was created to ensure that the work our Outreach team does in helping students from underrepresented backgrounds, is continued once they arrive in college.
Our Access & Inreach Support Officer is here to support students throughout their time at Somerville by working closely with our student representatives and college staff to enhance student opportunities and experiences, especially for those from underrepresented backgrounds.
Hard copies of our support leaflets for the following groups of students can be found in the Lodge and in Terrace bar.
- Students from BAME and ethnic minority backgrounds
- First generation students
- LGBTQ+ students
- Mature students
- Care-experienced & estranged students
- Students with disabilities
