The College do not provide hair dryers.

The nearest payphone to the College is on Walton Street opposite the West wall of Somerville

There is no room service available.

Can I watch tv?
A TV is available in the Terrace bar during opening hours.

Do you have a dry cleaning service?
No, however a dry cleaner is situated approximately 300 yards North of the College in a small parade of shops in Woodstock Road.

Where can I purchase a meal?
You will be able to purchase a breakfast from the pantry. There are many restaurants catering for all sorts of tastes in the city centre and in Jericho.

Where is the nearest cycle hire?
Cycle hire is available from the Bainton Bikes, 78 Walton Street. They also provide guided and self-guided tours.

Where are the museums?
There are a number of museums, the two largest being the Ashmolean museum in Beaumont Street and Pitt Rivers in Parks Road.

In the city centre, turn right out of the College.

PMT (Professional Music Technology) guitar shop Cowley Road, Oxford.

Where are the points of interest?
There are many points of interest in Oxford. The colleges being most of them. Entry is available either at a small charge or free.

The nearest one is 22 Beaumont Street Oxford.

The nearest one is at Jericho Health Centre Oxford (Tel.: 01865 558861).

What are the lodge opening times?
The Lodge is staffed continuously between 0700 a.m. – 11.00 p.m. Between 11.00 p.m. and 7.00 a.m. there is a night porter.

I am departing early. Where should I put my key and card?
Arrangements can be made with the Lodge to leave your keys and card at a particular time.

What are the local taxi numbers
There are a number of taxi firms in Oxford. 001 taxis (01865 240000) and A1 Taxis (01865 248000) are just two of them.

The nearest one is Woodstock Road Pharmacy 59 Woodstock Road, Oxford.

Can I purchase a universal plug?
Universal plugs are available from the shops in the city centre.

Cycle locks are available from Bainton cycles, 78 Walton Street, Oxford.

Where are the University Parks and what time do they close?
The University Parks are a short walk from the College in Parks Road. They open at 7.45 a.m. and close at various times in the year varying from 4.00 p.m. in the winter to 9.30 p.m. in the Summer.

Where can I pick up the bus to the park and ride?
The nearest park and ride is Peartree park and ride which is accessible via bus 300. The bus stop is situated on the College side of the road 100 yards north outside the Maths Institute. The alternative is Redbridge Park and Ride which is also accessible by using the 300 bus, the stop for which is on the opposite side of the road to the Peartree bus.

Where can I park?
There is no parking in the College. There is parking at the park and ride car parks or the nearest pay and display being in St. Giles.

Where can I hire a punt?
Punt hire is available at Magdalen bridge adjacent to Magdalen College.

Where are the fire assembly points?
The fire assembly points are indicated on the fire evacuation procedure notice in your room.

Can I set the fire or smoke detector off in my room by accident?
This may be possible by using too much aerosol spray in your room. Smoking within the College is strictly prohibited.

Can I leave my luggage at college?
There are no luggage storage facilities in the College. You may, however leave small items of luggage in the Lodge at your own risk.
