Our location offers easy access to the centre of Oxford, University buildings/departments, and to the lively Jericho neighbourhood. Plus the train station is only fifteen minutes walk away.
Somerville College is the perfect venue to to hold meetings, conferences and seminars, whether it be during the day or in the evening.
We have five different conference venues available. These range considerably in size, from those suited to informal interviews to a hall that seats 190 people.
We are keen to provide you with the facilities and help that you need to make your event run smoothly. We’re here to make your life easier and to help make a great impression on your delegates and clients throughout the day. Bottled water, flip charts, whiteboards (if requested), and Wi-Fi access are all offered at no extra cost.

Whether you are planning a corporate dining event, a conference or departmental dinner, or a family celebration Somerville’s beautiful wood-panelled, traditional Dining Hall offers a unique and special setting.
Combined with our renowned delicious food, efficient service and central location, Somerville College is a perfect choice for your next dining event.
Our Dining Hall accommodates banquets for up to 192 persons.
Or you may prefer our intimate Reading room which is adjacent to the Hall and can accommodate up to 35.
Our Head Chef ensures that the food is prepared impeccably and to your taste. The menu options offer a choice of local and seasonal fare.
