Arrangements for the end of term and vacation

All books signed out before 28th November (Thursday of Seventh Week) should be returned to the Library, or renewed, by 4th December (Wednesday of Eighth Week); a fine of 20p per book will be charged on all late returns and renewals. Renewed books, and any others you take out on or after Thursday of Seventh Week, will be due back on 21st January 2014 (Tuesday of First Week next term).   To renew books, you will need to sign on in SOLO using your Oxford SSO (the some#### username which you use to access Nexus email); there are full instructions in the Library area of the College website.

Library books may be signed out over the vacation in the same way as they are during term, with no limit on number. If there is a book you particularly want for the vacation which is signed out to another reader, please make sure you recall it in good time – no recalls will be accepted after Wednesday of Eighth Week. To recall a book, fill in one of the pink forms available at the Library front desk, or the Recall form on the College website, or email the details to library@some.ox.ac.uk. If a book is recalled from you which you yourself need for the vacation, please let us know immediately and we will endeavour to arrange things to everyone’s satisfaction!

The Library will be open to members of College as usual throughout the vacation, except over the Christmas and New Year period when College itself is closed. There will be some redecorating work being done during the vacation, but there should not be any major disruptions.   Any queries to library@some.ox.ac.uk, please.

Finally, best wishes for the vacation from the Library staff – Anne, Sue and Matthew.
