Open Days

Find out what Somerville is really like

If you are considering applying to Somerville for entry in 2014 or later, and would like to get an insight into student life and the subjects available, an Open Day is a great opportunity for you to do so.

In 2013, we will be holding undergraduate Open Days on:

  • Wednesday 26 June
  • Thursday 27 June
  • Friday 20 September

At every Open Day you will have the opportunity to speak to the Tutor for Admissions, along with subject tutors. Current students will also be on hand to give you a tour of the College and answer your questions about what life is like at Somerville.

2013 Open Day Programme

You are welcome to drop in at any time during the day. Current students will be available throughout the day to show you around Somerville and answer any questions you have about College life.

Tours of the College run every 30 minutes from 10.00am until 4.00pm.

10.00-12.00 - Drop-in activities in The Flora Anderson Hall.

The Senior Tutor and other College staff will be available to answer your questions about the Oxford admissions process, and the range of accommodation and support offered to students at Somerville.

Tea, coffee and cakes will be available throughout the morning.

12.30-14.00 - Meet Somerville's tutors.

This provides a great opportunity to meet the people who will be interviewing and eventually teaching you at Somerville. Please see the table below for which tutors will be available on each date.

A sandwich lunch will be available to visitors during this period.

14.00-16.00 - Drop-in activities in The Flora Anderson Hall.
