The Treasury — the College's Finance office — is open to students from 10 a.m. to 12.15 p.m. and from 1.45 p.m. to 3.30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Battels statements (of each student's account) will be distributed electronically or in paper form at least twice each term.
The first statement will be circulated before the beginning of the term and will include University and College fees, where due, and charges for college accommodation. This statement must be paid by Friday of 0th week, at the beginning of each term, unless specific arrangements have been made to defer payment.
The second statement will be sent out in or before the end of 2nd week of each term. This will include other charges, such as vacation residence charges, charity contributions etc. This statement must be paid by the Friday of 4th week of each term.
If you have a problem with any item on your battels statement, you should contact Andy Warren in the Treasury by email (andrew.warren@some.ox.ac.uk) or by telephone on (2)80636. Please note that if you pay your battels by a cheque which subsequently gets 'bounced', you will be required to pay by debit or credit card or by bank guaranteed cheque.
One of the functions of the College Accountant, Mr Andrew Kingston, is to give advice to students on financial matters, particularly in cases of financial difficulty. If you have money worries, potentially serious or not, or if you just feel that you could benefit from some advice about how to handle your financial affairs, please arrange to see him. He may be contacted by email (andrew.kingston@some.ox.ac.uk) or by telephone on (2)70626. Anything that you say, and any information that you provide, will be treated in the strictest confidence.
