There are a number of Degree Days (graduation ceremonies) each year. From 13 July 2013, degree days will be centrally managed. Current students will receive an email around October of the academic year they are due to finish their degree, inviting them to choose a date for their graduation ceremony. Students are free to choose a ceremony from a selection of dates. Research students who are granted Leave to Supplicate after June 2013 will be offered dates for their degree ceremony once this milestone has been passed.
Alumnae who have not yet had their degree conferred, or wish to have the Oxford MA awarded, are advised to contact the Academic Office in the first
instance (degreedays@some.ox.ac.uk).
Ceremonies are usually - though not always - held at the Sheldonian Theatre.
There is a £10 charge for the conferral of the MA.
It is not possible to attend a Degree Day following completion of a Certificate or Diploma.
You can graduate in person, by attending a ceremony, or in absence, in which case you don't attend.
You will not be allowed to graduate if you have any debts or dues outstanding to the College or University.
These pages explain more about Degree Days, and how to book your graduation ceremony.
