Somerville's ROQ accommodation wins Excellence in Design Award

We are delighted to announce that Niall McLaughlin Architects has received an Excellence in Design Award by the UK Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, for the design of Somerville's new ROQ accommodation buildings.

The accolade was awarded at a ceremony in London on Tuesday 17th April. The Somerville accommodation was one of only four projects to receive awards among a field which, the AIA UK Jury declared, represented a remarkable level of quality.

Somerville's Treasurer, Helen Morton, said that she is delighted that the Somerville ROQ buildings had been selected for the award. "We love the buildings, and our students really enjoy living there. This award is a wonderful recognition of the results of all the inspiration, hard work and attention to detail that went into the project."
