Shocking report on the state of the Oceans

Professor Alex Rogers, Fellow and Tutor in Conservation Biology and a team of international experts convened at the first ever interdisciplinary international workshop in Oxford earlier this year to consider the cumulative impact of all stressors affecting the ocean.  Considering the latest research across all areas of marine science, the workshop examined the combined effects of pollution, acidification, ocean warming, over-fishing and hypoxia (deoxygenation).

The preliminary report makes disturbing reading and shows that the world's oceans are in a far worse condition and declining more rapidly than previously thought.
