Consultative Tutors

The Consultative Tutors are Fellows of the College who are available for you to talk to about any problems you may be experiencing, if you don't feel able to approach your Personal Tutor or College Adviser.

For certain types of practical advice, you should see the Senior Tutor, Academic Administrator, Domestic Bursar, or College Accountant.

A Consultative Tutor will give advice if he or she can, or may suggest other people to whom you might talk. They will of course respect confidentiality, unless you give permission for the matter to be discussed with other people In certain cases, the Consultative Tutor may seek advice from another Tutor.

Remember that these tutors are not professional counsellors, and that professional counselling is available at the University Counselling Service.

They have special responsibility for liaising with the University in relation to complaints of harassment, though you may approach your Personal Tutor or any other appropriate person for advice in such a case.
