Somerville Association Committee

President:

Miss Karen Richardson (Law, 1972). Karen was a partner in Travers Smith before serving as Company Secretary for Novar plc; last year she was the Master of the City of London Solicitors' Company (the only woman to have held this post). She was for some years the Chair of the Somerville Lawyers' Group.  She is married and lives in London.

Secretary:

Mrs Liz Cooke (nee Greenwood) matriculated to Somerville in 1964 to read history. She has worked at Somerville since 1987.

Fellows Appointed by the College:

Dr Benjamin Thompson, Fellow and Tutor in Medieval History at Somerville since 1994 and also the Former Dean. His mother is a Somervillian (Joy née Taylor, 1951). He is involved in music in College and also sings himself. He co-ordinates the Gaudy Memorial Service.

Professor Fiona Stafford, Fellow and Tutor in English. Professor Stafford's special interests are late eighteenth century and early nineteenth-century poetry and prose, Scottish and Irish literature and contemporary poetry.
